made by members of Gu Chu Sum, the Tibetan ex-political prisoners association
in Dharamsala, India. Originally made by political prisoners from the threads
of their prison uniforms in prisons around Lhasa, Rangzen (freedom) bracelets
quickly became a popular symbol of resistance to the Chinese occupation in Tibet.
The weave design is similar to the famous "dzi" eye beads which are believed to
protect the wearer. $5 each Panchen

'tear-out' postcards that you can sign and send to decision makers around the
world, calling for the freedom of the Panchen Lama and all other Tibetan prisoners
of conscience. [
